TWO ARRESTED AFTER UOV OPP RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) - Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two individuals after a stolen vehicle was recovered in the Township of Laurentian Valley (TLV).
On November 15, 2025, at approximately 10:20 am, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at an abandoned hunt camp in TLV. Police recovered a stolen pickup truck from Trois Rivieres, Quebec, at the scene and two individuals were taken into custody. Stolen credit and debit cards were also recovered by police.
As a result of this investigation 30-year-old Ryan MACDONALD and 29-year-old Laura PEARL, both of Nova Scotia, are each charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
MACDONALD is facing the additional CC charges:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 - two counts
- Failure to comply with release order - four counts
Both accused individuals were held for a bail hearing and remain in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 17, 2025.
