(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - A Wardsville resident has been charged after reports of a disturbance.

On January 26, 2026, at 11:26 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to an address on Longwoods Road in Wardsville, Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a disturbance.

Investigation revealed an individual had been assaulted during the altercation.

As a result, Douglas SWANSON, a 69-year-old of Wardsville, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Assault

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in London on March 12, 2026, to speak to the charge.

There were no injuries reported.
