TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - Driver charged with impaired after traffic complaint received of possible impaired driver.
On April 15, 2025, at 4:29 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, for the report of a possible impaired driver.
The vehicle was located at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, Michael TACIJ, a 60-year-old of Rodney, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on May 14, 2026.
