SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) - Driver facing impaired driving charge as a result of a single vehicle collision investigation.
On February 20, 2026, at 6:32 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to River Road in Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, for the report of a single vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, officers observed a single motor vehicle in the ditch at which time the driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex County OPP detachment.
As a result, Sanford DOXTATOR, a 52-year-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Control Act with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 7, 2026.
