TWO VEHICLE COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 401 LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(LONDON, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after collision on Highway 401.
On April 4, 2026, at 10:31 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex London Paramedic Service and London Fire Department were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in the City of London near Highbury Avenue for the report of a two-vehicle collision.
There were no serious injuries reported.
As a result, Gregory SKWARK, a 49-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on May 21, 2026.
