SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing Impaired driving charge after single vehicle collision in Middlesex Centre.
On February 16, 2026, at 5:36 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Wonderland Road North in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a single vehicle collision.
There were no injuries reported.
As a result, Stanley LAPOINTE, a 29-year-old of Huron County, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Control Act with:
- Operation while impaired - Alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on March 18, 2026.
