(LONDON, ON) - Driver of transport truck charged with impaired after multiple traffic complaints were received of possible impaired driver on Highway 402.

On April 20, 2026, at 12:43 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of Highway 402 in the City of London, for the report of a possible impaired driver operating a transport truck.

The vehicle was located in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Nicholas KURIAKOSE MANI, a 41-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on May 26, 2026.
