TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.
On February 28, 2026, at 1:47 am, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle on Glendon Drive.
A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
As a result, Neil DUTHLER, a 23-year-old of Bothwell, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on March 31, 2026.
