OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION IN THAMES CENTRE

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - Middlesex County OPP investigating a fatal collision in Thames Centre.
On January 22, 2026, at 1:20 pm, emergency services including members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Thames Centre Fire, were dispatched to Dundas Street between Shaw Road and Fairview Road, Municipality of Thames Centre, for the report of a serious collision involving two vehicles.
Early investigation revealed a sport utility vehicle (SUV) travelling westbound, collided with a dump truck.
The driver of the SUV, a 34-year-old of London, was transported to hospital with life-threatening-injuries. The driver was later pronounced deceased at hospital.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team are on scene to assist with the investigation.
Dundas Street is anticipated to remain closed for the next few hours.
