TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop in Southwest Middlesex.
On April 11, 2026, at 1:26 am, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, observed a suspicious vehicle on Hagerty Road.
A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
As a result, Logan KERRIGAN, an 18-year-old of Newbury, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Cannabis Control Act with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in London to speak to the charges on May 26, 2026.
