TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED BY DRUG CHARGE

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing impaired by drug charge after traffic stop.
On August 19, 2025, at 12:44 am, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Medway Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle turned onto Bear Creek Road at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, Jamie LENG, a 41-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:
- Operation while impaired - drugs
- Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
- Driving while under suspension (two counts)
The accused was held for bail.
