TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVER

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing Impaired charge after traffic stop.
On September 5, 2025, at 3:16 pm, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Vanneck Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle.
A traffic stop was initiated at which time the driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.
As a result, Douglas PARE, a 32-year-old of Ailsa Craig, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 8, 2025.
