TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO CHARGES

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Traffic complaint leads to charges.
On April 1, 2026, at 8:15 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were made aware of a traffic complaint of a vehicle possibly travelling to a location in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre from the City of London.
Officers located the vehicle at the intersection of Carriage and Longwoods Roads in Middlesex Centre. A traffic stop was initiated, however the vehicle failed to stop. Due to public safety concerns, officers terminated the short pursuit.
The vehicle was located shortly after at a business on Muncey Road at which time officers stopped the vehicle.
Timothy ALBERT, a 58-year-old of Melbourne, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
- Flight from peace officer
- Dangerous operation
- Operation While Prohibited - Legal Restriction from any other Act of Parliament or Provincial Law
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice on May 11, 2026, to speak to the charges.
