TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) - Driver facing impaired by drug charge after traffic complaint in North Middlesex.
On July 7, 2025, at 12:22 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Ailsa Craig Main Street in Ailsa Craig, North Middlesex.
The vehicle was located stationary at a business at which time a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.
As a result, Giuseppi FORTESE, a 44-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood drug concentration
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 26, 2025.
