(LONDON, ON) - Driver charged with impaired by drug as a result of OPP RIDE Program.

On July 5, 2025, at 3:10 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were engaged in a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Highway 401 at Wellington Road in the City of London.

A vehicle entered the RIDE program at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

As a result, Fares BA SAAD, a 27-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Cannabis Control Act with:

  • Operation while impaired - drugs
  • Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 18, 2025, to speak to the charges.
