FATAL COLLISION CLOSES MELBOURNE ROAD

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - A cyclist has died as a result of being struck by a vehicle on Melbourne Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
On May 4, 2026, at 12:17 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oneida Nation Police, Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service, Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and local Fire, were dispatched to Melbourne Road between Inadale and Olde Drives in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex for the report of a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a 25-year-old of Southwest Middlesex was transported to hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team are on scene to assist with the investigation.
The roadway remains closed as officers continue to investigate the collision.
