CHARGE LAID FOLLOWING DELHI ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged in connection with a recent assault investigation in Delhi.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, at approximately 9:11 am, members of the Norfolk County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault that had occurred the previous evening at a location on Talbot Road in Delhi.
The investigation determined that an interaction took place between two individuals in the area, during which one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, 62-year-old Melven HANANS of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
