(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision near Wilsonville.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, at approximately 12:17 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a sedan at the intersection of Old Highway 24 and Norfolk County Road 19 East, just outside of Wilsonville.

As a result of the collision, a passenger in the sedan, a 56-year-old resident of Norfolk County, was transported to hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the sedan was also transported to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Old Highway 24, between Lutesville Road and Concession 3 Townsend, and Norfolk County Road 19 East, between Highway 24 and Angling Road, were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
