CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Three individuals have been charged in connection with separate intimate partner violence investigations.
On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 6:20 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported assault at a Norfolk County address.
The investigation determined that two individuals had an interaction inside a residence, during which one of them assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 27-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault - spousal
Later that same day, at approximately 9:35 pm, officers responded to a further report of an assault at a location in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction on the premises, during which both parties assaulted one another. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 17-year-old resident of Oxford County and a 20-year-old resident of Norfolk County were arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault
Each accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
