(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision near Courtland.

On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at approximately 7:12 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Norfolk County Paramedic Services and the Norfolk County Fire Department, responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a sedan on Highway 3, just outside of Courtland.

As a result of the collision, the driver, a 36-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Highway 3, between Goshen Road and Plowman’s Line, was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation and has since reopened.
