TWO MOTORISTS FACING IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals are facing charges following separate impaired driving investigations.
On Friday, April 10, 2026, at approximately 10:38 pm, a member of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 59, near Bill’s Corners, and initiated an investigation.
Following an interaction with the driver and a roadside sobriety test, the individual was taken into custody without incident.
As a result, 36-year-old Jesse MILLER of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), - Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle, - Drive without proper headlights, - Improper number plate light
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Officers located the vehicle and, following an interaction with the driver, took the individual into custody without incident.
As a result, 64-year-old Jayne HALLIDAY of Oxford County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, - Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
