ONE CHARGED FOLLOWING STREET CRIME UNIT DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - One individual has been charged as a result of a drug trafficking investigation led by the Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at approximately 2:30 am, members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU, assisted by the Brant/Oxford OPP CSCU, the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, and the West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed search warrants at properties on Harley Road in Brant County as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation originating in Norfolk County.
Upon entering a residence at one of the properties, officers took one individual into custody without incident. Searches of the properties resulted in the seizure of quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, Xanax, and oxycodone, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia, Canadian currency, ammunition, and prohibited weapons. Officers also recovered four stolen vehicles, including two pickup trucks and two sport utility vehicles.
Michael VOS, 38, of Brant County, has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine, - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, - Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, - Unauthorized possession of a weapon, - Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000 - in Canada, - Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose - three counts, - Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order - four counts, - Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 - four counts
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
