YOUTH CHARGED FOLLOWING WEAPONS-RELATED INCIDENT IN DELHI

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - A youth has been charged following an investigation into a weapons-related incident in Delhi.
On Sunday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 7:36 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a weapons-related incident on Northern Avenue in Delhi.
The investigation determined that a group of individuals were on the property when an interaction occurred, during which one individual brandished an edged weapon. No injuries were reported.
Officers located the suspect at the scene and took them into custody without incident.
As a result, a 16-year-old Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Carrying concealed weapon, - Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, - Fail to comply with sentence
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
