INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an investigation into an intimate partner violence incident.
On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at approximately 8:08 am, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported assault at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals inside the residence, during which one individual assaulted and threatened the other and caused damage to property. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 35-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault - spousal, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal, - Mischief under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a late date.
