TWO CHARGED IN SEPARATE ASSAULT INVESTIGATIONS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged in connection with separate assault investigations.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, at approximately 6:07 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at a location on Water Street in Simcoe.

The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction in the area, during which one person assaulted and threatened the other. No injuries were reported.

Officers located the suspect nearby and took the individual into custody without incident.

As a result, 35-year-old Christopher TAYLOR of no fixed address has been charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Assault, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at approximately 12:02 am, officers responded to a reported assault at an address on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe.

The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction on the premises, during which one person assaulted the other. No injuries were reported. Further investigation revealed that the same victim had also been assaulted by the same individual at the same address on Saturday, April 25, 2026, resulting in minor injuries.

As a result, 24-year-old Tyler SEERY of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Assault - two counts

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
