IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE LAID FOLLOWING COLLISION INVESTIGATION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an impaired driving-related collision in Pine Grove.
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 9:04 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a sedan at the intersection of McDowell Road East and Charlotteville West Quarter Line Road in Pine Grove. The driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries.
Officers located both drivers at the scene, and after conducting a roadside sobriety test, the driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody without incident.
As a result, 43-year-old Jeffery GRIGG of Elgin County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), - Turn - not in safety
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
