INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged in connection with an intimate partner violence investigation.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at approximately 1:17 am, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported dispute at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction between two individuals inside the home resulted in one individual physically assaulting the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 72-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault - spousal
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
