TWO YOUTHS CHARGED FOLLOWING ASSAULT INVESTIGATION IN SIMCOE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two youths have been charged in connection with a recent assault investigation in Simcoe.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at approximately 2:00 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported assault on Bonnie Drive in Simcoe.
The investigation determined that three individuals were involved in an interaction in the area, during which two of them assaulted the third individual, resulting in minor injuries. During the investigation, officers also learned that the victim had been assaulted by the same individuals the previous day.
As a result, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, both from Norfolk County, were arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault - two counts
The accused individuals, whose identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
