POLICE INVESTIGATE SUSPECTED BREAK-AND-ENTER
One Individual Charged
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual is facing charges following an investigation into a suspected break-and-enter in Simcoe.
On Friday, February 6, 2026, at approximately 1:42 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspected break-and-enter at a residence on Norfolk Street North in Simcoe.
Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the residence, during which they located an individual inside the home. The investigation determined that damage had been caused to the interior of the residence, and the individual was taken into custody without incident. No other persons were present inside the residence at the time.
As a result, 53-year-old Jason EVERETS of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:
- Unlawfully in dwelling house, - Mischief - destroys or damages property, - Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
