OPP INVESTIGATING BREAK-AND-ENTERS IN WATERFORD AND SIMCOE

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for two recent break-and-enters in Waterford and Simcoe.
On Sunday, February 22, 2026, at approximately 8:51 am, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported break-and-enter at a property on Highway 24 in Waterford.
The investigation determined that sometime between February 18 and February 22, 2026, one or more unknown individuals unlawfully entered a greenhouse on the property and stole copper and aluminum valued at approximately $25,000.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at approximately 8:55 am, officers responded to a second break-and-enter at a property on Norfolk County Highway 24 East in Simcoe.
Police determined that sometime between February 15 and February 24, 2026, one or more unidentified individuals forced entry into a barn and stole assorted power tools.
