(NORTH WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - One person has been charged following an incident in Arthur.
On January 26, 2026, at approximately 4:15 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of an altercation at an address in Arthur.
As a result of the investigation, Aaron SCHMITT, a 38-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Assault
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim did not sustain any reported injuries.
