Four Criminal Charges Laid
(MAPLETON TWP, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges North Perth resident with four criminal charges, in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On June 22, 2025, at approximately 5:30 am, members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance within Mapleton Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old of North Perth, is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault with a weapon - spousal (two counts)
- Mischief under $5,000
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
