(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Fergus resident faces charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
On December 19, 2025, at approximately 9:30 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a disturbance at an address in Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
There were no reported injuries.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
