OPP Seeking Public Assistance
(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three persons of interest in a recent shoplifting incident in Fergus.
On February 2, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, a member of the Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a theft from a business on Tower Street South in Fergus. Three unidentified suspects entered the store, concealed approximately $150 worth of clothing and toys, and left the premises without making any attempts to pay. The suspects departed in a silver minivan.
The OPP is investigating this incident and is looking to identify three persons of interest and vehicle involved.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- brown
- female
- 5’8”
- approximately 60 years old
- long brown hair
- black coat and blue jeans
Suspect 2 is described as:
- brown
- female
- 5’6”
- approximately 20 years old
- long black dress
Suspect 3 is described as:
- brown
- female
- 5’6”
- approximately 20 years old
