(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Cambridge driver is charged following a collision with a snow plow.
On November 28, 2025, at approximately 9:15 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a two-vehicle collision on Downey Road in Puslinch Township, between a hatchback and a snow plow.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old from Cambridge, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Cannabis Control Act with:
- Careless Driving
- Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
The accused was transported to local hospital with minor injuries and the snow plow driver did not sustain injuries as a result of the accident.
The Wellington OPP is urging drivers to give snow plows plenty of space, so that they can safely maintain our roadways. The OPP never recommends passing a plow. The snow and road conditions in front of the plow will be more severe and crossing between different levels of snow-covered roads can be dangerous.
