(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - One individual has been charged following an incident in Arthur.
On January 23, 2026, at approximately 8:30 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident at an address in Arthur, where an involved party became aggressive with responding officers.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault a Peace Officer
- Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on February 27, 2026.
The accused’s name is being withheld, out of concern for their well being.
