MIILTON DRIVER FACING THREE CHARGES FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Milton driver is charged following a traffic stop on the Hanlon.
On January 08, 2026, at approximately 12:30 am, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on the Hanlon Parkway in Guelph, when they found a vehicle to be travelling at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old from Milton, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
- Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted limit
- Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
A 30 day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
