(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - an individual is charged following an incident in Erin.
On February 20, 2026, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a historical altercation that occurred on December 29, 2025, at an address within Erin.
As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old from Erin, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault - spousal
The victim did not sustain any injuries.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
