STUNT DRIVER CHARGED

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Kitchener driver is charged following a traffic stop near Mount Forest.
On February 10, 2026, at approximately 6:30 pm, a member of the Wellington County OPP Traffic Management Unit was conducting proactive traffic enforcement at Highway 6 and Side Road 4, South of Mount Forest, when they found a vehicle to be travelling at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old from Kitchener, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
- Speeding 1-49 Km/h over posted limit
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
A 30 day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a 14-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
