(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a recent shoplifting incident in Mount Forest.
On December 17, 2025, at approximately 11:15 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft that occurred at a grocery store on Main Street in Mount Forest on December 13, 2025. An unidentified suspect was observed concealing approximately $77.00 worth of produce, wine and baked goods before walking out of the store, failing to pay for the items.
The OPP are investigating these incidents and are looking to identify the person of interest who is described as:
Person of interest:
- White
- Wearing a black pants, black long-sleeved shirt and black hooded vest with a black bag
- Brown boots
- Red gloves
