CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - Intimate partner violence charges have been laid against an individual following an incident in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
On October 24, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an altercation at a residence on May Street in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old from Guelph-Eramosa Township, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice - Guelph on a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
