UPDATE

VEHICLE FIRE CLOSES ROADWAY

Roads Re-opened

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) - Roads re-opened.

On April 17, 2026, at approximately 2:30 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a single vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames at Eramosa-Milton Townline and Guelph Line, just outside of Rockwood.

The driver sustained serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma centre by ambulance. No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.

As a result of the vehicle fire and investigation, Eramosa-Milton Townline was closed between Fourth Line Nassagaweya and Guelph Line, but has since been reopened as the fire was deemed to be non-suspicious and the source of the fire was deemed to be mechanical in nature.
