TRAFFIC STOP OF COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE LEADS TO SEVERAL CHARGES

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Binbrook resident has been charged following the traffic stop of a commercial motor vehicle.
On November 21, 2025, at approximately 8:15 am, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit, while on proactive control, conducted a traffic stop of a commercial motor vehicle on Tower Street South in Fergus.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old from Binbrook, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive commercial motor vehicle - improper license
- Operate commercial vehicle - no valid CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration) certificate
- Overweight vehicle - violate permit
- Fail to accurately complete daily inspection report
- Operate vehicle - fail to display inspection sticker or proof
- Improper means of attachment - commercial motor vehicle
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph, at a later date.
