INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE RESULTS IN CHARGES
Five Charges Laid
(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges local resident with five Criminal Code charges in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation.
On July 27, 2025, at approximately 7:30 am, members of the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at an address in Puslinch Township.
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old of Puslinch Township, is charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal
- Assault - spousal
- Mischief Under $5000
- Failure to comply with release order- other than to attend court
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
