OPP Seeking Public Assistance
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in connection to a recent shoplifting incident in Mount Forest.
On April 7, 2026, at approximately 1:45 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft from Shoppers Drug Mart on Main Street North in Mount Forest.
It was revealed that on April 7, 2026, at approximately 1:30 pm, a suspect entered the store, concealed several hundred dollars worth of merchandise inside their bag and left the store without attempting to pay.
The Wellington County OPP is investigating this incident and is looking to identify the involved suspect.
Suspect is described as:
- white
- male
- approximately 5’10” tall
- thin build
- 50-60 years of age
- wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and carrying a Puma backpack
