THEFT INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
Two Suspects Charged
(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) - Two persons charged in connection with farmstand thefts.
On February 15, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a re-occurring theft at a local business on Sideroad 10 within Puslinch Township, specifically targeting the business’s farmstand positioned on a public road.
On March 22, 2026, a result of the investigation, two suspects have been identified, and one has been arrested in connection with these thefts:
Deborah SHIER, a 52-year-old from Cambridge has been arrested and is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Theft Under $5000 (two counts)
SHIER was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 19, 2026.
Additionally, another 52-year-old from Cambridge, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Driving while under suspension for unpaid fines
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph, at a later date.
