TELECOMMUNICATION WIRE THEFT IN GUELPH-ERAMOSA

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are investigating a telecommunication wire theft in Guelph-Eramosa.
On March 30, 2026, at approximately 3:00 pm, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a telecommunication wire theft on Highway 7, between Wellington Road 44 and Alma Street within Guelph-Eramosa Township.
It was reported that the theft likely occurred around 4:00 am earlier that morning, when unknown suspect(s) attended the location and took approximately 100 metres of copper cable, valued between $5,000-10,000, with some sections of wire left behind, concealed in bushes.
