(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) - On March 20, 2026, at approximately 4:15 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local emergency services received a report of a single vehicle collision involving a hydro pole at the intersection of Southgate Sideroad 49 and Highway 89, within Wellington North Township, just outside of the Town of Mount Forest.
On arrival, a hydro pole was found to be struck with hydro wires over the roadway, and the vehicle involved discovered in a nearby ditch.
The driver was able to escape the vehicle and is currently being treated by Paramedic Services. No other occupants were inside of the vehicle.
