(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - Individual charged following incident in Erin.
On January 29, 2026, at approximately 12:45 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside members of the Dufferin County OPP, responded to the report of an altercation at an address in Erin.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old from Erin, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault - spousal
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
The victim did not sustain any reported injuries.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
