THREE VEHICLE COLLISION IN ERIN LEADS TO CHARGES

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - A dump truck driver has been charged following a three-vehicle collision in Erin.
On June 1, 2026, at approximately 4:15 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), alongside local paramedic and fire services, responded to the report of a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Wellington Road 124 in Erin, involving a dump truck, a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a four-door sedan.
One driver sustained minor injuries. The intersection was closed for a period of time but has since re-opened.
As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old from Brampton, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Careless driving
- Red light - fail to stop
- Fail to accurately complete daily inspection report
The accused will appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph on a later date.
